How do I add financial instruments in Xero

The template we have provided has a financial instruments section at the bottom of the notes.

You need to insert the assets and liabilities that fall into the definition of financial instruments:

any contract that gives rise to a financial asset of one entity and a financial liability or equity instrument of another entity.

The most common being:

Assets

1. Bank accounts
2. Trade receivables
3. Related party loans
4. Advances to other entities
5. Shares / investments

Liabilities

1. Overdrafts
2. Credit cards
3. Secured loans
4. Related party loans
5. Advances from other entities
